Think About ItPastor Rich LaskowskiYears ago, while living in lowa, was watching TV laying on the couch. I was almostasleep when I felt something touch the back of my neck. At first it felt like a hair;/ scratched my neck and dismissed the thought, then it happened again. My mindflashed to a terrifying thought - could it be that 5 pound wolf spider I chased the daybefore? I jumped from the couch seeing my nemesis. He escaped again. The next day l investigated the basement, thinking this is where he hides. Seeingan old mattress propped against the wall I pulled it to the floor revealing hundredsof wolf spiders huddled behind it. It was freezing cold in my basement, causingthem to move slower than normal, giving me time to use my spider spray. When thespray ran out I used a shovel - it will go down in spider history as the great lowamassacre.Fighting a single spider upstairs didn't work - I had to go to the source, the nest. Inlife we often fight the symptoms when the nest of the problem is sin. We swat thesymptoms, but why not let Christ clean out the nest? Trust Him today.
